THE SUMMIT OPENING THIS WEEKEND
The resort will be operating the Summit West Base Area this weekend with limited terrain and plans to open additional base areas in the coming days. Summit West will be open Saturday and Sunday from 9A.M. – 4 P.M. The Nordic Center will also be open with limited terrain from 9A.M. – 3 P.M. on Saturday and Sunday only.
Due to the extended snow forecast, and the accumulation from this week, The Summit is putting its lifts in operation to take advantage of the weather.
“Despite our patience being tested somewhat, we are all excited to open The Summit for the 2007-2008 winter season / this weekend,” said Guy Lawrence, marketing director. “As a bonus, the forecast looks awesome for more snow over the next few days and so we look forward to opening more terrain soon.”
Early season lift ticket pricing will be in effect. Adult tickets will be $35, youth and senior $20, and children and super seniors will be $10 for all day passes. Half-day passes will be $28, $17, and $10 respectively. The price of a Nordic pass is $11 for this weekend.
