Forest Service Approves The Summit's Master Development Plan

Environmental Logo

Over ten years since it's original submission, our Master Development Plan has been approved by the United States Forest Service! A big thanks to everyone who helped in the process, particularly those of you who submitted official comments, as well as the Sierra Club, the Mountains to Sound Greenway, the Alpine Lakes Wilderness Society, Conservation NW, The Mountaineers and of course the U.S.F.S. We're proud to say that we worked extensively with the previously named organizations in order to find the best alternative for you, as the guest, as well as for our alpine environment (best described below).

"It's a good example of what can happen when two sides sit down and negotiate in good faith. My hat is off to the Snoqualmie Pass people; they did a great job," said Don Parks of the Alpine Lakes Protection Society."

The following is a summary of the selected alternative, but if you prefer to read the entire decision document, click here. To view a map of the approved changes, click here.
